Facilities
The area
Bezuidenhout is a popular neighborhood south of the park ‘Haagse Bos’ (The Hague woods) and was built between 1900 and 1925. The district was heavily damaged during World War II. After the war the destructed area was rebuilt which is why this area shows a variety of classic and modern architecture. The Bezuidenhout is located North of the city center. The presence of the Beatrix business district and the Central Station contribute to the popularity of this area. The main shopping district is located along the Theresiastraat. In 2014 the New Babylon tower opened its doors offering an indoor shopping center. With its 45 storeys it is one of the tallest buildings of The Hague.
